Announcement on the Establishment of Green CO2 Co., Ltd.
Thai Special Gas Co., Ltd. (TSG) and Nippon Sanso (Thailand) Co., Ltd. are pleased to announce the establishment of Green CO2 Co., Ltd., a joint venture company formed to produce and distribute environmentally friendly carbon dioxide (CO₂). New CO₂ plant of Green CO2 is constructed in Chachoengsao, a logistically strategic location to support industries in eastern region.
Under this joint venture structure, the collaboration aims to develop a sustainable CO₂ production project utilizing bio-based sources and circular resource utilization.
This project is developed in cooperation with BBGI Public Company Limited, a subsidiary of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited. The plant will capture and process liquid carbon dioxide (CO₂) generated as a waste byproduct from BBGI’s ethanol production process. The captured CO₂ will undergo purification and processing to transform it into high-quality products for industrial use.
The Green CO₂ facility will be capable of producing CO₂ for multiple applications, including:
- Industrial Grade CO₂
- Food Grade CO₂
- Beverage Grade CO₂
In addition, the company plans to pursue Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) certification to verify that the CO₂ produced through this project has a low carbon footprint, reflecting the project’s contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting sustainable industry practices aligned with the circular economy concept.
The project is expected to commence commercial production and distribution in July 2026. Product Liquid CO2 is marketed in Thailand by Thai Special Gas Co., Ltd. and Nippon Sanso (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
This joint venture represents the shared commitment of all partners to develop sustainable industrial solutions, create additional value from existing resources, and support the long-term growth of environmentally responsible industries in Thailand.
Green CO2 Co., Ltd. will focus on supplying high-quality CO₂ products to meet the growing demand across various industrial sectors.
